📝 Preparation Steps
1
Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees. Poke a few holes in each potato with a fork.
2
Transfer potatoes to preheated air fryer and bake until tender when pierced with a paring knife, about ⏱️ 40 minutes, turning potatoes after ⏱️ 20 minutes to ensure even cooking. Cool.
3
When the potatoes are cool enough to handle, peel the potatoes. Add to a sturdy pot or large bowl and mash to a uniform consistency. Using a rubber spatula, fold in melted butter until just incorporated.
4
Slowly stir in 1/2 cup hot milk. Add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, to adjust the consistency as desired. Season to taste with salt and pepper (I like 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper) and garnish with fresh chives if desired.
