Wash your apples and pay them dry. Then, thinly slice them and place the slices in a medium mixing bowl. You’ll need about 2 1/2 cups of thinly sliced apples (from about 4 large apples).

Add the water, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon to the apple slices. Stir to combine.

Pour the apple mixture into a 6-inch round baking dish (see notes).

To make the topping, place the flour, sugar, sea salt, and softened butter in a medium bowl. Use your hands to combine the mixture until crumbly.

Place the topping on top of the apple mixture in the baking dish.

Place the baking dish inside of your air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 325°F for ⏱️ 30 minutes. The apples should be softened and bubbling when the crisp is done baking. The topping will have browned slightly.
